Plugs, cord and timers
Slide-on plugs finish cut runs of socket wire or lamp cord. A male plug goes on the end that connects toward power; a female plug goes on the far end so another run can connect. Lamp cord carries power from an outlet to the start of a run, or bridges gaps between runs.
Photocell timers
Photocell timers switch a display on at dusk and off after a set number of hours, so lights don't need to be switched by hand each night. Set the on-hours before mounting the timer, and keep the photocell sensor facing open sky rather than under an eave or near a porch light, which can keep it from switching on.
